3/22/98 - Discussion Forum goes online.

Now you have a place to discuss GT Image Control issues. Do you have a question, comment or suggestion regarding GT Image Control? Now in addition to the list of Frequently Asked Questions, you can check the Discussion Forum for related articles and either reply to an existing article or post a new article.

Are you an experienced programmer familiar with GT Image Control? Maybe you could stop by occasionally and help answer questions. TIA ;-)

3/2/98 - Version 1.4 released.

Graphic Methods get a facelift.
Almost every graphics method has been improved. Parameters that should have been optional now are. Methods that didn't work correctly now do. The Line method had to be renamed to Line_ do to problems after installing the service pack.

Printing makes an appearance.
Basic printing now joins the list of graphic methods. With Print_ you can now print a line of text in the current font and foreground color at the coordinates defined by CurrentX and CurrentY.

New events for tracking mouse.
With the addition of the MouseIn and MouseOut events you now have a way to run code when the mouse passes into and out of the control.

Hyper-Aware.
Three new properties, NavURL, NavBookmark and NavFrame, allow GT Image Control to navigate to a document or URL when the control is clicked.

Because of the extensive changes GT Image Control has a new Class ID: C950706E-A56F-11D1-8BED-00A0CC3019CB

Due to the popularity of GT Image Control and the amount of work that's gone into it, GT Image Control will now be shareware. If you intend to keep and use GT Image Control, please register your copy(s).

10/14/97 - Version 1.3 released.

Now fully IE 4.0 compatible. No patch required!!!

08/24/97 - Version 1.2 released.

2 new properties, AutoSize and Stretch, allow more control of sizing.

AutoSize determines whether the control is resized to fit the image(s).
Stretch determines whether the image(s) are scaled to fit the control.
Easily create thumbnails by setting AutoSize to False and Stretch to True.

New property page dropdown lists make selecting property value easier.

New automated MSIE 4.0 Patch makes installation for MSIE 4.0 clients easier.

Bug Fixes.

Eliminated flicker.
Correctly displays new picture without having to pass cursor over control.
Height property now correctly set when control is AutoSize(d).

Important Note: VB 5 made me change class id's. Any applications will need to be re-compiled against the new version and any HTML pages need to have the classid parameter changed. The new class id is: B23CB3EE-1B3E-11D1-8BED-98D20AC10627. There will be a small amount of unused registry entries left over from version 1.1. Stay tuned for an automated cleanup patch.
